Event

Chicago Sinfonietta

finearts.northcentralcollege.edu

Location: North Central College Wentz Concert Hall, Naperville, IL 60540
Start Date/Time: June 06, 2015 - 8 p.m.
End Date/Time: June 06, 2015 – 10 p.m.

Our shared experiences as Americans unite us in way that lead to different expressions by each of us—some are inspired to create music, while others serve in the military. Some do both, like Vietnam Veteran James “Kimo” Williams, whose music offers a unique tribute to our service members. Photographs of those who have served, submitted by Sinfonietta patrons, musicians, and staff will accompany this incredibly moving performance.

Experience America through the eyes of two others—one native son, Charles Ives, offers an unusual, lush version of our unofficial national song, America, followed by Antonín Dvořák’s New World Symphony, embodying the spirit of America through the eyes of an immigrant. This is a program for everyone with pride in America, pride in our service men and women, and pride in shared struggles and triumphs.

8p.m. at North Central College Wentz Concert Hall. 171 E. Chicago Avenue. For tickets and more info, finearts.northcentralcollege.edu
