This updated Geneva home offers plenty of perches to relax

The front exterior of the Geneva home

For house hunters, a covered front porch or elevated deck is often an ideal draw. The home at 615 Easton Ave. in Geneva, now on the market for $2.795 million, happens to have both.

Situated on a half-acre corner lot just blocks from Geneva’s downtown, the home’s curb appeal lies largely in its comfortable outdoor spaces—the generous covered front porch and large second-floor deck just above it that define the façade. These are the kinds of inviting spaces that just cry out for a comfy chair, a favorite beverage, and an unscheduled evening to sit back and watch the world go by.

But there’s plenty to like inside as well. Built in 1972, the home has been steadily updated over the decades, with everything from the French doors and the kitchen to the five fireplaces and the vast great room combining to create a thoughtful balance of space and comfort.

And for those who can’t get enough indoor-outdoor spaces, the small private deck off the luxurious primary suite is yet another place to enjoy yet another view—this time of the lushly landscaped backyard and new in-ground pool.
