Sikich Investment Banking recently named Ryan Hampton as a director on its Capital Markets team. Previously, Hampton served as a vice president of investment banking at Clark Dodge & Company/Advanced Equities and as a vice president at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch. Hampton has more than 14 years of experience in banking and advisory services with specific expertise in raising capital for emerging growth companies across various industries. He focuses on private equity financing, senior and subordinated debt financing and buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions. In his new role, Hampton will leverage his extensive relationships with both financial sponsors and strategic management teams and secure growth capital for companies looking to expand their operations.

Adana Johns has been promoted to senior managing architect at Aurora-based Cordogan Clark & Associates, from associate project architect at AECOM. Adana’s strong technical and design skills, combined with over 11 years of architectural project experience, enable her to offer seamless service to clients. Her project experience includes federal, municipal, civic, higher education, commercial, science and technology as well as sustainable design. Adana is a licensed architect registered in Illinois. She earned her bachelor of science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and attended L’Ecole d’ Architecture in Versailles, France.

Dr. Chintan Mistry has been appointed chief medical officer at Advocate Dreyer in Aurora. From 2006 – 2013, Dr. Mistry served as chairman of the department of emergency medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn. He has also practiced at the emergency department at Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest and at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Ill. Most recently, he served as medical director of emergency medicine for Advocate Medical Group (AMG), based in Downers Grove. Dr. Mistry was a charter member of AMG’s governing council, on which he served as chairman from 2010-2012. Dr. Mistry earned his medical degree at University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his residency at University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Conn., where he also served as chief resident.

Lisle-based Choose DuPage has named Bob Hutchinson, president of Glen Ellyn Bank & Trust, a Wintrust community bank, to private sector co-chair of Choose DuPage, joining DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin as the public sector co-chair. According to Choose DuPage’s website, Hutchinson moves into this new role after serving on the board of directors for Choose DuPage for the last three years. In his role at the bank, Hutchinson focuses on getting to know business owners and offering financial solutions that will meet their business needs. These skills are key in helping Choose DuPage further collaborate with the private sector and municipalities to enhance the economic development of DuPage County.

The accounting firm of Mathieson, Moyski, Austin & Co. LLP in Wheaton has added John Straus, Hao Tran and Emily Heim to its professional accounting staff. Straus, a certified public accountant, comes to MMA & Co. with more than 20 years of public accounting experience. He earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Arizona and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. Tran has been an audit associate and received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a minor in management information services (MIS). Heim has approximately two years of public accounting experience. A native of Wheaton, she is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she received a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Fabrice Hugon joined Wheaton-based Elkhorn Securities LLC in the newly created position of senior managing director structured products and as a member of its executive team. Hugon will have oversight of sales and product development for Elkhorn’s structured products business.

Beth Gaucher has joined the DuPage Convention & Visitors Bureau as partner relations manager. Gaucher is charged with serving the DuPage CVB’s members by maintaining and advancing a value-driven benefits program. Along with member benefits, recruitment and retention, Gaucher will play an active role in community relations and marketing. Prior to joining the DuPage CVB, Gaucher served as communications manager for the Concordia University Chicago Foundation in River Forest. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston University and a master’s degree in school counseling from Concordia University Chicago.

Awards

The Naperville Park District received two awards reaffirming its strong financial standing. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) awarded the District the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2013 comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). Moody’s Investor’s Service recently reviewed the Naperville Park District’s debt profile and assigned the District an Aaa rating, indicating the continued financial strength and stability of the Naperville Park District.

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the world’s largest economic development organization, honored Choose DuPage for its 2013 Annual Report. Choose DuPage was recognized at the Excellence in Economic Development Awards in October in Texas. The awards recognize the world’s best economic development programs and partnerships, marketing materials and the year’s most influential leaders. Choose DuPage developed its 2013 Annual Report, titled “The Proven and Premier Global Business Location,” to provide residents and businesses of DuPage County with information regarding the organization’s accomplishments and key opportunities.

New Business

Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) has entered into an agreement with Linden Oaks, a Naperville-based regional behavioral healthcare provider that is part of Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare, to manage NCH’s behavioral health services. Under the agreement, Linden Oaks will manage NCH’s behavioral health services, including adult inpatient services, adolescent behavioral health and the NCH Youth Center substance abuse residential program. Individuals seeking treatment will continue to rely on NCH’s behavioral health staff to provide holistic, patient-centered care. NCH’s behavioral health unit provides adult inpatient services and adolescent behavioral health programs for individuals age 12 to 18, including treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD and behavior problems.
