A Pint for Kim is hosting their 5th Annual blood drive in honor of Naperville resident Kimberly Sandford, who lost her life to cancer in March 2020. Kim suffered from chemo induced anemia from her treatment for a one in ten million cancer and required over 40 blood transfusions in her final months. Prior to passing, Kim wanted to help others and asked that a blood drive be held in lieu of a wake. Her family continues to grow the movement to spread awareness that the largest use of donated blood goes to cancer patients.
While walk ins are welcome, people can register for a time slot to donate blood at https://donate.illinois.versiti.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/5607611
