Barkapalooza Dog Walkathon and Expo

West Suburban Humane Society has held its signature fundraiser, Barkapalooza, for the past 27 years as, and for the first time, it will occur as an entirely virtual experience. Barkapalooza runs through Sunday, September 27. Even during this pandemic, WSHS still cares for an average of 200 animals at any time, and they’ve made it their practice to accept cats and dogs with expensive medical needs or ones that need significant time to adjust before adoption. This practice comes with extra costs, but with fundraising through events like Barkapalooza, they can ensure every animal has a chance at a life with a loving family. Barkapalooza 2020 features online events and activities almost daily through September 27th. All proceeds of Barkapalooza will benefit WSHS to help their cats and dogs find loving forever-homes.
