Beach Boys And The Temptations

Location: RiverEdge Park Aurora, Aurora, IL 60505
Start Date/Time: August 05, 2016 - 5:30 p.m.
End Date/Time: August 05, 2016 – 10 p.m.

There’s no better way to celebrate the summer than experiencing the band that literally created the beach rock sound live. And there’s no better place to do it than right on the banks of the Fox River.

Calling The Beach Boys “legends” is an understatement. Their multi-layer harmonies, unmistakable 1960s surf rock sound and laid-back style launched them into worldwide fame, while simultaneously shaping the future of pop music forever. 50 years, 100 million albums sold and an induction into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame later, The Beach Boys are the top-selling American band of all time. And with musical masterpieces like “Surfin’ USA,” Pet Sounds and “Kokomo,” it’s no surprise The Boys took home the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY.

We like our surf with a side of soul, so joining The Beach Boys are the smooth, the soulful, and the funky Temptations. Known for their Motown smash hits “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “My Girl” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” these guys, with the help of writer/producer Smokey Robinson, embodied the heart and soul of Motor City USA. 55 years after the group first came together, The Temps are headed to the Park.

It’s the soundtrack of your summers past, so get ready for a night of “Fun, Fun, Fun” at the Park. Just, maybe leave the surfboard at home.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with show starting at 7 p.m. RiverEdge Park, 360 N. Broadway, Aurora.
