The local birding scene starts to get more interesting this month. Red-winged blackbirds are back, along with killdeer, common grackle and song sparrow. The walk begins from the Visitor Center and go for two to three hours, depending on the weather. Stay for as long as you wish. Cantigny bird walks are conducted in partnership with the DuPage Birding Club. They are free to attend, and parking also is complimentary. Beginning birders and kids at least 8 years old (accompanied by an adult) are welcome.
