50 years after the debut of “The First Concert of Sacred Music” by the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) performs the complete work in Wentz Concert Hall featuring The Lakeside Singers and soloists Robert Sims and Tammy McCann. Robert Sims, Baritone Tammy McCann, Vocalist The Lakeside Singers, Robert Bowker, Artistic Director Chicago Jazz Orchestra, Jeff Lindberg, Artistic Director and Conductor The Chicago Jazz Orchestra (CJO) is Chicago’s oldest professional jazz orchestra in continuous operation and one of the oldest jazz repertory orchestras in the country.
