Chicago Sinfonietta performs “Global Dance Party” in Wentz Concert Hall at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 22. Tickets are $54 and $42/adults, $10 children and students. Symphonic and electronic music converge, when Bhangra-inspired DJ Rekha and two of the nation’s top young conductors, Alexandra Arrieche and Joseph Young, brilliantly present music from their own cultural heritages—Indian, African-American and Brazilian. This concert takes you on a fresh, whimsical adventure to unexplored musical corners of the globe that will leave you moving in your seat.
