Maestro Mei-Ann Chen and the Chicago Sinfonietta will preview its 2014-15 Season with a special evening at Cantigny Park. The concert opens with a selection of romantic suites from Ravel’s beloved Carmen and will be followed by Vaughn William’s spirited English Folk Song Suite. Florence Price’s composition, Dances in the Canebreaks, showcases the work of the first African American composer to ever have a piece performed by a major U.S. orchestra, and this special season preview concludes with Dvořák’s lyrical and folk melody inspired Symphony No. 8.

Individual evening concert tickets are available in advance for $22/person (member rate: $20/person), or the day of the event for $24 per person (member rate: $22/person).
Children under 8 years of age are admitted free.
