Experienced journalist Jackie Spinner will discuss her role as a combat journalist with the First Infantry Division in Iraq. Author of Tell Them I Didn’t Cry: A Young Journalist’s Story of Joy, Loss, and Survival in Iraq and writer for the Washington Post, Slate, and the Christian Science Monitor, she will also touch on what it is like to be a female journalist all around the world.
