St. Charles hosts one of the best fireworks displays in the region, best viewed from Pottawatomie Park, Pottawatomie Golf Course, or Ferson Creek Park. Though the pyrotechnics don’t start until dark, Pottawatomie Park opens at dawn for family and friends who want to make a day of it. Before the fireworks, the band Soda will take the stage in the historic pavilion at 6 p.m. until the start of the fireworks.
