The Naperville Sister Cities Foundation is hosting its first Hispanic Heritage Festival to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. Special events are planned throughout the downtown area, including a bilingual story time at Nichols Library, community-made art pieces and Frida Kahlo-style painting stations within the Riverwalk Fine Art Festival, scavenger hunts through downtown businesses for prizes, and specialty food items at participating restaurants. Live music will also be provided in Central Park by the Naperville Municipal Band and other groups. Free.
