St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Everyone’s Irish on March 11 at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade winding through downtown Naperville. Spectators can enjoy their annual fix of bag pipes and leprechauns mixed with politicians and local service organizations—all that’s missing is the DuPage River being dyed green (ahem, Mayor Chirico. . .). The parade starts at Naperville North High School, proceeds south on Mill Street to Jefferson, east on Jefferson to Main Street, and south on Main Street to Water Street. The 2017 Parade Queen wins a $250 scholarship from West Suburban Irish. She is chosen each year by a selection committee based on community involvement and—of course—her Irish heritage.
