At 0630, he landed on Omaha Beach—it was his first day in combat. Historian Christophe Gosselin will moderate and share more about the history behind Shay’s service in World War II, including his D-Day memories. Shay is a Penobscot tribal elder and decorated veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
