Walk for Awareness

This two-mile walk takes you on a scenic view along a wood-chipped natural trail. Walk for Awareness is a unique, local event honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Join sponsors such as Cadence Health and 95.9 FM The River, as the families of women from DuPage walk through the Lincoln Marsh Natural Area to benefit our county’s largest breast cancer treatment facility, as well as the marsh. The first 200 registered walkers will receive a Walk for Awareness T-shirt. Register online at www.active.com or in person at the event. Registration and check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. from the east entrance of Lincoln Marsh, at the end of Lincoln Avenue, about one-half mile west of Gary Avenue The Lincoln Marsh Natural Area main entrance is located on the west side of the park at the intersection of Harrison and Pierce Avenues.
