Most suburban parents are quite familiar with the sports arenas in other Midwestern towns. The lack of local facilities requires club teams to travel to competitive tournaments in large venues.

Calamos Real Estate—and the travel and tourism folks in the area—saw an opportunity to keep sports and entertainment events right here in Dupage County, and the developer has acquired 25 acres of land earmarked for a 245,000-square-foot, 4,500-seat development called CityGate North.

The complex, says owner John Calamos, “will serve our community in many ways, providing more opportunity for residents to participate in sporting events, music and other family-friendly entertainment, and creating jobs and generating revenue for the area as a whole.”

This new 25,000-square-foot indoor adventure park features high ropes courses, several rock climbing walls and a man-made cave for visitors to explore.
