Beckoning serious house hunters and curious looky-loos alike, the 2024 Cavalcade Tour of Homes is an opportunity to not only check out more than 20 different properties—ranging from custom-built family homes and remodels to stylish townhomes and apartments—but also to chat with the builders behind them for some insight on their design inspirations. Presented by the Northern Illinois Home Builders Association and spanning two weekends (September 13–15 and 20–22), the Cavalcade also has a strong charitable angle, with 40 percent of proceeds from this year’s ticket sales earmarked for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans and Naperville Responds For Veterans—two organizations that focus on addressing housing needs for military veterans.
