This estate features plenty of elbow room, headroom, and just plain room at every turn

Few luxury properties expect buyers to compromise on space. At a certain level, “spacious” is simply part of the equation.

But even amid the top tier, few homes wear boast abundance quite like the estate at 3001 Glen Eagles Court in St. Charles, now on the market for $2.99 million. Built in 1993 but almost completely redone in recent years, this is the kind of place that puts the capital G in “Grand.”

The numbers themselves are impressive enough: seven beds, seven baths, nearly 11,000 square feet of living space. But there’s an openness and a sense of expanse here that even those jumbo figures can’t quite do justice.

It starts right at the entryway, which is brightly lit by huge windows and boasts a soaring ceiling that carries out into the living room, where additional massive windows provide excellent views of the grounds. And the roominess doesn’t stop there.

The kitchen with high-end appliances and adjacent breakfast room? Ample. The overhauled office with new hardwood floors and built-in shelving? Spacious. The lower level with custom bar, kitchenette, media space, and wine room? Vast. And the outdoor resort-like area with refinished in-ground pool, multiple paver patios, gazebo, and outdoor fireplace? Prodigious.

In other words, it’s the kind of home that should come with its own thesaurus—which would undoubtedly be the deluxe edition.
