In this Clarendon Hills home for a young family, interior designer Christie Kenny selected accessories with a playful, organic feel. Some objects, like this sculptural white bowl from Crate & Barrel, were meant to be functional as well as beautiful.

“It’s organic in shape, and it gives that raw-material vibe that we really wanted to show throughout,” Kenny says. “We suggested they actually put their remotes in there. Although the last time we were at their home, there were actually kids’ toys in there.”
