This well-appointed Naperville homage is Wright On

Some homes dabble in certain architectural styles, while others are unapologetically all-in on a favorite. Maxing out the Frank Lloyd Wright vibe is this sprawling Prairie-style estate at 908 Julian Court in Naperville, now on the market for $2.99 million. There are no mere hints of the late master here—this is a full-on dedication. Inspired by Wright’s Robie House in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood, this home features many of the quintessential elements of classic Prairie architecture, including a low-pitched roof, an abundance of horizontal lines, painted glass windows, geometric trim design, and a blurring of the boundaries between interior and exterior, with elements of nature figuring prominently throughout.

This particular version of the Wright aesthetic spans more than 11,000 square feet across its luxe six-bedroom layout, while also featuring a three-season room, a chef’s kitchen (with two butler’s pantries), three fireplaces, a home theater, a music room, a temperature-controlled art room, and a luxury spa (with resistance pool, wet sauna, and hot tub).

But brokers Karen Fakroddin and Kim Preusch of the Monarque Group/@properties Christie’s International say most buyers touring the home tend to be drawn to one of its simpler pleasures—the impressive living room, which is centered as the gathering space for families, per Prairie design. “The layout of the main floor creates a great sense of privacy from the outside world, yet the positioning of the wall of windows gives the feeling of living outdoors in nature,” Fakroddin says.
