With blood and courage General Macbeth has earned the King’s favor, and yet is overlooked as heir to the throne when the honor is bestowed upon the King’s son. The proud soldier can not suffer such a slight and his supportive wife will not endure this affront. Who, in their place, would not be outraged? Wouldn’t you? This brilliant and wise play explores the boundaries we confront and lines we do–or do not–cross. Organic Theater Company’s fresh take on this ageless tale sees this power couple’s journey in its grotesque complexity. Alexander Gelman directs the production Chicago Theater Beat claims uses “cleaver innovation to change the way we look at the tragedy of Macbeth.”
