Naperville Park District’s Director of Recreation Brad Wilson has been named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Naperville Downtown. The Paul Harris fellowship is awarded for meeting high professional and personal standards set forth by Rotary founder Paul Harris.

 


 
 
 
 
 
The Naperville Heritage Society has appointed John Koranda as the new Board Chair and Lindy Antonelli, Richard Carlson and Matt Ishikawa as new board members. The board is composed of eighteen members and oversees the operations of Naper Settlement.

Jennifer Martyn of Woodridge and Scott Hardek of Elmhurst have been appointed to the board of directors of the Friends of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Guided by an independent volunteer board of directors and executive members, the organization works to advance the district’s vision through philanthropic endeavors.

System CEO Pam Davis of Edward-Elmhurst Health recently received the prestigious Career Achievement Award from Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF), the largest independent chapter of the American College of Health Executives (ACHE). Davis was previously honored by CHEF/ACHE with the 2015 Recognition Program Service Award and 2009 Healthcare Leadership Award.

Opening in downtown Naperville in May, SixtyFour A Wine Bar has hired Patrick McLaughlin as executive chef, who most recently held the position at Parkers’ Restaurant and Bar in Downers Grove. McLaughlin will develop a new menu and oversee all kitchen operations at SixtyFour.

The Herrington Inn & Spa has been awarded the AAA four-diamond award for the twenty-fifth consecutive year. AAA Diamond ratings for hotels represent a combination of overall quality, range of facilities and level of services offered.

 
 
 

Naperville resident Jack Oskvarek was awarded the 2016 ACAMS Al Gillum Volunteer of the Year Award, which recognizes those who have played a significant role in the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. Oskvarek also was awarded the Leadership Excellence Award from the National Diversity Council, which distinguishes individuals from diverse fields who exhibit exceptional leadership qualities.

Naperville Community Unit School District 203 recently honored the Naperville Park District with its 2017 Exemplary Business Partnership Award, which recognized a three-year collaboration between the Park District and District 203 to offer Summer School Camp. The program allows students enrolled in morning summer school to attend summer camp in the afternoon.

Little Friends, Inc. has appointed Mike Briggs as the organization’s new CEO/President. The sixty-year-old Naperville resident has been involved with Little Friends for many years, serving on the Board from 1988 to 1991 and again starting in 2016. Briggs will replace Kristi Landorf who resigned to spend more time with her family.

 

Yorkville’s Kendall County Community Food Pantry has appointed family medicine physician Dr. Ken Kavanaugh to its board. Dr. Kavanaugh will provide significant medical resources to the organization’s Kendall Free Clinic, which has served 200 patients over 500 visits since 2014.
