The Illinois State Crime Commission/Police Athletic League of Illinois has selected Naperville Fire Chief Mark Puknaitis as the 2017 Fire Chief of the Year. This group annually recognizes Illinois’ best individual leaders and champions from government and industry who have distinguished themselves through their outstanding contributions to communities throughout Illinois.
Professional services firm Sikich LLP was recently recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management for its workplace practices with a 2017 When Work Works award.
Salon Fluxx is among five finalists for the 2017 Salon Team of the Year award by the Professional Beauty Association’s North American Hairstyling Awards. Stylists nominated for these awards are the most elite players in the industry.

The Naperville Park District Board of Park Commissioners has elected Mike Reilly as president and Rich Janor as vice president. Additionally, Park District staff members Sue Stanish, director of finance, and Jacki Stern, executive administrative assistant, were elected as board treasurer and board secretary, respectively.
Culinary veteran Frank Bellino has been named Executive Chef at Cantigny Park and Cantigny Golf. Bellino joined Cantigny seventeen years ago, serving most recently as executive sous chef. Cantigny’s food and beverage operations include Le Jardin and Bertie’s Café at Cantigny Park, and the Red Oak Room and Fareways Grill at Cantigny Golf.
Professional services firm Sikich LLP recently named Jerry Murphy, CPA, partner-in-charge of its manufacturing and distribution practice. Murphy has more than twenty-five years of experience working with manufacturing companies on assurance, operations improvement, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions.
Naperville resident Stratos Athanassiades has been hired as Money360’s regional director of the Midwest region. Money360 is a national direct lender of commercial real estate loans.
Syed Hasan has been named general manager of Hotel
Indigo Naperville Riverwalk. Hasan is an accomplished hotelier with over twenty-five years of lodging and hospitality management experience with global companies including Hilton Worldwide and Host Hotels and Resorts. Hasan and his wife Allison and their three young children have been Naperville residents for twelve years.
Michael DiSanto, who most recently served as acting city attorney, has been named Naperville’s new city attorney and director of legal.
