New record label, same clear-eyed focus
Honestly, the only thing I was thinking about when it came to my newest album (Words) was finding the coolest music and recording songs with really great lyrics.

Music = family
I’ve been onstage since the age of 5 with my siblings in the Evans Family Band, and even now my brother Matt, sister Lesley and sister-in-law KK are on the road with me. My son Avery was even playing guitar in my band earlier this year. Family is the most important thing to me, and I’m lucky to have them with me all the time.

Building a set list over the decades
In my live shows, I get to play different versions of my hit songs, like taking “Stronger” from full production to a really raw acoustic arrangement. I also get to work in some fun cover songs, like “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” I’m so lucky—I have the best fans!
