Start Date/Time: July 10, 2016 - 3 p.m.
End Date/Time: July 10, 2016 – 5 p.m.
Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago (SCC) have not “re-invented” themselves beyond recognition but more so refined themselves. After 30 years, their performances are still precise and energetic. Their sound is powerful, magnetic, inspirational, and their reach remains international. As they continue to mature with perfection, they expand their platform to accept the challenge of meeting the spiritual needs of this generation by addressing honest, everyday issues that children, teens, and adults encounter.
The Spiritual and professional discipline of Walt Whitman forms the foundation and reason for the standard of excellence set forth and continuously achieved in every aspect of the Soul Children. This is the driving force behind their vocal and performance skills. It builds character and creates servant leaders of integrity in education, family, social responsibility and community. Over the last 30 years the Soul Children remain passionate and committed to being the change they desire to create. They lead with integrity, authenticity, consistently embracing new challenges, promoting peace, happiness, and inspiring people all over the world.
All concerts feature lawn seating; guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or a lawn chair. Concerts are free with regular parking fee admission.
