The second largest homeless shelter in the state is open and protecting some
of the most vulnerable. Hesed House is requesting nonperishable food includ- ing single-serving chips, cereal, granola bars, Pop-Tarts, and bottled water, as well as personal care items, clothing, shoes, art supplies, and monetary donations. Due to a staff-wide focus on its shelter programs, Hesed House is not currently taking clothing or furniture donations. Drop off donations at 659 S. River St. in Aurora between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
