Willard Scott House

Both physically and symbolically situated in the heart of downtown Naperville, the 156-year-old Willard Scott House recently hit the market with an asking price of just over $1 million. Built in 1867 and originally home to one of the city’s earliest settling families, the Italianate-style structure at the corner of Washington and Franklin has more recently been used as an office space. With ownership now in flux, however, preservationists are concerned the home may fall victim to significant alterations or even demolition.
