A background in sports—and business I come from a basketball family. My parents played club ball, and my brother and I played professionally in Europe. Following pro ball, I ran a travel basketball team and coached locally, including a year within the women’s basketball coaching staff at North Central College. Beyond sports, my occupations as sales manager at Marriott International—along with six years in logistics and supply chain management—are invaluable for this role.
Strong fundamentals As the second-largest county in Illinois, in the heart of the Midwest—and within a five-hour drive to several major cities—DuPage County offers convenient transportation to and from the entire U.S. In addition, teams and tourists can expand their visit and use their free time to explore the interesting history and rich heritage of the area. Finally, and most importantly, the people in our county are great representatives of Midwestern friendliness and approachability.
Big goals We can dramatically increase our footprint within the sports industry by showing why the west suburbs are a fantastic choice to host events at all competitive levels across all sporting disciplines. As I meet with every decision-making individual throughout the 38 municipalities, we’ll partner to create the tools appropriate to highlight each town’s unique draw.
