The American Legion Post 43 honored local police and firefighters during a dinner on February 19.
“Our police and firefighters have shined in the face of this pandemic,” said post commander Nadia Baran. “Not only did they adjust to the various CDC guidelines, but they handled the situation with poise and grace while serving and protecting our community.”
Twenty-two police officers, firefighters, and paramedics attended the event and enjoyed a meal from Mission BBQ. Each honoree received tokens of appreciation from the American Legion including a certificate, a state commander pin, and a legion challenge coin. The late George Pradel was honored posthumously.
