Fans of the Great Wolf Lodge in the Wisconsin Dells can now save some gas money and enjoy an indoor waterpark property this side of the state line. The new family-friendly Gurnee location—the first Great Wolf Lodge location in Illinois—has a contemporary design and an 80,000-square-foot water park.

Indoor features of the resort include two slides, a large wave pool and toddler area, plus an entertainment center with a ropes course, climbing wall and arcade. “Great Wolf Lodge Illinois perfectly blends tried and true family favorites that guests love,” says CEO Murray Hennessy, “with several updated attractions and amenities we recently introduced at our newer properties to create a truly unique getaway for families.”

Families can choose from 13 suite styles or premium multibedroom configurations, all of which include an in-room refrigerator and coffee maker. Standard, themed and premium suites start at $199 per night.
