This House Goes to 11

It’s not at all unusual to find amenities like a swimming pool, wine cellar, or theater when browsing homes in the price range of $2 million to $3 million—in fact, such luxuries often are standard in that market. It’s a bit more rare, however, to come across said pool being housed under a 37-foot ceiling, a full-on tasting room attached to the wine cellar, and a 28-seat theater that boasts a working film projection room and vintage ticket booth.

Then again, not every upscale property is as knowingly over-the-top as the 14,000-square-foot Casa San Fili, a custom-built six-bedroom, 11-bath spectacle set on four acres in Wayne that instills the old Realtor warhorse “one of a kind” with some real veracity.

In addition, there’s a kitchen with multiple islands, a cozy library, a wood-paneled billiards room, and a seven-car heated garage, plus a workshop. And, because this is Wayne, you’re never far from a horse trail.

“This home was built in 1993 by owners who simply loved to entertain and had that in mind when it came to everything from the number of bedrooms to the size of the kitchen to the pool, theater, and arcade,” says listing agent Dawn Bucaro of Bucaro Realty in Carol Stream. “The more people that gathered together, the happier they were.”
