Glen Ellyn–based Bridge Communities celebrated three decades of service during its 30th Birthday Bash on Friday, September 21. More than 200 guests enjoyed an evening of food, music and dancing within the beautiful grounds of the Planter’s Palette in Winfield. The nonprofit also honored its retiring cofounder, Mark Milligan. Throughout the night, guests took part in raffles and bid on enticing auction packages, including a starter wine cellar, a luxury trip to Arizona, and a private chef’s dinner.

Proceeds from the evening will go to support the Founders Fund, a newly created endowment honoring Milligan and cofounder Bob Wahlgren. The fund seeks to help teens in the Bridge program prepare for life after high school by assisting them with internships and educational experiences, college tours, financial aid applications, SAT and ACT tutoring, and renewable college scholarships.

Over the past 30 years, Bridge Communities has helped 800 families cross the bridge from homelessness to hope and self-sufficiency. For more information, visit bridgecommunities.org.
