About 450 people attended Hesed House’s annual Derby Party on May 4 at White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville. The event supported the nonprofit, which provides shelter, housing, and homeless prevention. More than 33 girls selected prom dresses March 16 at the invitation-only pop-up boutique created by Dress Up 203. This new initiative was developed by seven moms to provide upcycled and new dresses for Naperville North and Naperville Central high school students who may not have the means to purchase formalwear. More than 450 dresses were donated by the community, and three volunteer seamstresses were on hand ensure the perfect fit.
