Recycling and sustainability may not be the first things to come to mind when shopping for new bedding. But with more people desiring products that are ethically sourced, retailers such as the Company Store are stepping up with sheets and comforters that allow customers to feel good about what they are buying. Its Company Conscious Collection (shown) is a sustainable line of products made from recycled materials and eco-friendly fabrics.

“Textile innovation will have a conscience,” predicts the retailer’s 2022 Comfort Report. According to its research, 74 percent of consumers say choosing sustainable materials for bedroom decor is important.

New options are more available than ever before, including organic cotton, eucalyptus, bamboo, low-impact dyes, and Tencel—a type of rayon that requires less water and energy to produce than traditional cotton fabric.
