Since Penny and John Bohnen formed the real estate brokerage County Line Properties in 1991, they’ve wanted to create a “builders’ boutique” that showcases talented craftsmanship. Last October that vision became a reality when John Bohnen reached out to resources he’s known and referred over the years to clients needing specialized services.
“We are excited to bring this unique concept to the area. Original, tailor-made work will be generated out of the design center. This is not an assemblage of a line of products or vendors,” said Bohnen, a Hinsdale resident since 1947.
This summer, his collection of accomplished artisans and craftsmen opened at the new County Line Home Design Center in downtown Hinsdale (110 S. Washington St., 630.789.3030), which offers homeowners distinctive and unique finishes. The center showcases businesses that specialize in everything from construction management and interior design to hardscapes and cabinetry.—MD
