Over 380 attendees attended the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Inaugural Gala on Friday, February 2. The gala serves as a formal welcoming to new three-year members of the NACC board, including its 2018–2019 chairman Emily Ory from Corporate Concepts.

The banquet was held in Glen Ellyn at Abbington Distinctive Banquets, a longtime chamber member. Guests sipped on old-fashioned specialty cocktails while listing to live music performed by the Patrick Sieben Band from Las Vegas. “We have a chamber member who is a groupie and he brought them up after another gig in Orlando,” says Kara Carpenter, director of events and programs. “They were amazing and played everything from country to pop.”

The nonprofit chamber publicly introduced its two-year Future Forward Campaign, a fundraising effort for technology advancements in the areas of client management and communication systems, plus the chamber’s website and conference room. Lauren Holtz, NACC director of marketing and communications, says staff now has the capability to receive on-site donations at various chamber functions. “Members can contribute at events throughout the year,” she says.
