Despite traffic concerns from West and East Highlands neighbors,
development of the Shoppes on Washington moved forward last fall after the demolition of the aged gas station and bank just south of Edward Hospital. The northwest corner of Washington and Gartner now features three modern structures primed for a café, restaurant, retailers, and second-floor offices. Businesses on board in 2020 include GLO Nail Lounge, @properties, Shred 415, and Starbucks.
