On July 11 the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley granted a total of $587,146 to 36 nonprofits dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Fox Valley area.
Numbered golf balls plummeted to the green during the Helicopter Ball Drop Raffle at the Edward Foundation’s 31st annual Charity Golf Tournament July 15 at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont. The event raised $439,000.
Scores of kidpreneurs sold their wares August 3 at the fourth annual Naperville Children’s Business Fair at Naperville Central High School.
Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn has been renamed the DuPage Wildlife Conservation Center at Willowbrook Forest Preserve. Its new 27,000-square-foot wildlife rehabilitation clinic and visitor center will open later this fall.
Featuring live fitness sessions, wellness experts, and healthcare professionals, Thrivefest debuted August 3 at North Central College’s Benedetti-Werhli Stadium.
