The Downtown Naperville Alliance hosted its first-annual Souper Bowl Stroll Feb. 2. The sold-out event featured more than a dozen restaurants serving up soups with their own twists.
Through a private-public partnership, DuPage County and DuPage Foundation teamed up to provide nearly $400,000 to DuPagePads to provide housing for residents throughout the winter.
Coinciding with the Lunar New Year, Forbidden City Lounge celebrated its grand opening Jan. 29 in downtown Aurora. The lounge is located on the lower level of the Leilani Asian Fusion restaurant.
More than 1,400 attendees enjoyed the sold-out DuPage County “I Have a Dream” Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast Jan. 20, featuring keynote speaker Fred Gray, a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient and civil rights attorney, and Grammy Award–winning Gospel artist Darius Brooks. Proceeds from the Breakfast supported the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Fund of the DuPage Foundation.
