One June 26 the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley hosted the ribbon-cutting for the nonprofit’s new 4,000-square-foot headquarters at 1971 W. Downer Place in Aurora.

On June 29 Central Bark celebrated the grand opening of its new facility (4389 Fox Valley Center Drive) that features almost 9,000 square feet of indoor space plus a 3,700-square-foot outdoor play area. The location offers dog day care, overnight boarding, grooming, and training.

Kids had oodles of fun with the Taste of East Asia space this summer at the DuPage Children’s Museum.
Nearly 50 bike riders participated in the second annual Solstice Century Ride on June 20, with over half completing the 100-mile challenge. Organized by Naperville businessman Zac Larson, the event raised more than $100,000 for six local charities serving mental, health, food and shelter insecurity, and international children.
