The City of Aurora set up a livestream of the four baby peregrine falcons hatched by parents Vixen and Dave on the side of City Hall in May. More than 500 votes were cast by the public to name the chicks.
The First Congregational Church of Naperville, which was founded in 1833 and is the oldest in the county, became city’s first church to earn landmark status. Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli (on left, with Vicki Keller, who initiated the landmarking process) made the formal declaration on May 31.

North Central College’s Concert Winds Spring Concert at Wentz Concert Hall marked the final performance of Lawrence Van Oyen, who retired at the end of this academic year. He has served as director of bands and instructor of saxophone at the college since 1992.

On display through May 19, it highlighted the motives, pressures, and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war, and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s.
