SO TRU The ribbon-cutting for Tru by Hilton (1809 W. Diehl Rd., Naperville) took place December 15. Tru is a new, more affordable concept from the hotel chain, offering a contemporary vibe as well as a free hot breakfast, business center, indoor pool, and gym.

TOP SHELF The Naperville Public Library was ranked No. 1 in the country in its expenditure range ($10 million to $29.9 million) for the year by Library Journal. NPL also was named a five-star library, a distinction it has earned all 14 years since the award started in 2009. A total of 5,359 public libraries were reviewed for the 2022 award, which takes physical circulation, e-material circulation, library visits, program attendance, public computer users, Wi-Fi sessions, database usage, and website visits all into consideration.
