In December, Lace ’Em Up NFP, cofounded by Marco Eufrasio (left) of Glen Ellyn, donated 25 winter hats to cancer patients undergoing treatment at Endeavor Health Edward Hospital. DuPage Foundation granted $605,600 to 46 not-for-profit organizations across the county through its Community Needs Grant Program’s fall 2023 cycle. One recipient was Wheaton Drama, which got a $16,100 grant to purchase sound production equipment.
The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley has recruited its largest cohort ever—43 students representing a dozen high schools across the Fox Valley—to volunteer this year in the Foundation’s Youth Engagement in Philanthropy (YEP) program, which helps students explore and learn more about fundraising, grant making, and community service.
Chicago-based painter Gwendolyn Zabicki’s Man Watching Baseball is one of the works featured in Unearth, an exhibition running through March 10 at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Glen Ellyn.
