Through both its Community Foundation’s Discretionary Grantmaking and Youth Engagement in Philanthropy programs, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley awarded 41 grants on July 11 totaling more than $615,000 to support local nonprofit organizations working to improve the quality of life for Fox Valley residents.

Budding business owners sold their wares at the third-annual Action Children’s Business Fair on July 22 hosted by Arrow Accelerated Academy in Naperville.
On July 18 DuPage Community Transformation Partnership granted nearly $1.3 million to support social-service not-for-profits. The grants will help fund the work of 18 organizations serving DuPage County residents in the areas of food insecurity, housing instability, mental health, and substance use disorder.
More than 300 pets were microchipped June 24 at a free event offered by DuPage County Animal Services in Wheaton.
