The Edward Foundation raised $447,000 at its 26th annual charity golf tournament on July 15 at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lemont. More than 300 golfers enjoyed an afternoon of golf followed by dinner, an awards ceremony, and a silent auction.
The winning team on Cog Hill’s Dubsdread course included Steve Chirico, Kelly Keegan, Walker Moore, and James Park. Other course winners included Joshua Hickey, John Saletta, Brad Schulman, and Ryan Yagoda.
A helicopter ball drop—where participants paid for a chance to have a numbered golf ball dropped from a helicopter to land closest to the flag—was won by Tom Persin of Naperville. Dionne Miller, weekend sports anchor and reporter for ABC-7 Eyewitness News, was the event’s celebrity guest.
The foundation, the charitable fundraising organization of Edward Hospital, was established in 1990 and has raised more than $52.5 million in its mission to support Edward Hospital’s community healthcare initiatives.
