West Suburban Community Pantry in Woodridge has launched a plastic-film recycling program with nonprofit Clean Up Give Back and recycled 200 pounds of plastic in its first week. After 1,000 pounds of plastic are upcycled, the organization can earn one Trex bench per year, which will be auctioned to purchase reusable bags for pantry shoppers.
