The College of DuPage Foundation hosted its “For the Love of Warhol: A Night at Studio 54” gala February 18 at Esplanade Lakes in Downers Grove. The benefit drew more than 330 attendees and raised nearly $200,000 to support future exhibitions, including this summer’s Warhol exhibit at the McAninch Arts Center and the Cleve Carney Museum of Art, running June 3 through September 10.

SO TRU The ribbon-cutting for Tru by Hilton (1809 W. Diehl Rd., Naperville) took place December 15. Tru is a new, more affordable concept from the hotel chain, offering a contemporary vibe as well as a free hot breakfast, business center, indoor pool, and gym.

NaperVoice, Naperville’s new philanthropic choir of professional and volunteer singers under the direction of Philip Spencer, performed its inaugural concert, “Gather in Gratitude,” November 20 at Grace United Methodist Church. Violinist Mina Chang, a junior at Benet Academy, accompanied the group. The concert raised funds for the choir’s first designated charity, Feed My Starving Children.
